My friend has an Apple TV gen3 (A1469), however lives in the US and I live in Sweden. On their AppleTV they have the NHL app. However on mine, the app does not exist and there is no APP store to download it. What can be done? Why is the NHL app not available but the NBA is?

Each content provider is free to provide services in the region(s) that they select. That means that some US apps won’t provide their content across their border (even if you would have an app).
