Screenshots are of low quality

Whenever I take a screenshot and send it via iMessage, it is sent blurry and of low quality to the recipient. However, what I see is a full quality screen shot. Attached is an example.

iPhone is Xs Max, iOS is 13.4.1

The first one is what I sent; the second is what the person receives. They’re also on the same type of iPhone and updated to the latest software.

Is there a setting that is enable that I can change? Thanks!

Thanks for the response, and here are the responses to your questions:

  1. it seems to happen only with screenshots. Photos and videos taken with the camera app go through in full quality.
  2. when sent via mail, it retains the original quality.
  3. I’m in a group chat with the other contact and two others who are also iPhone users, and it goes into the lower quality.

Hello BlazingAsura,

It looks like no one has responded to your question. Here are a couple things that might help others answer your question:

  1. Does this only happen with screenshots? If you took a picture with the camera on your iPhone and send that as an attachment would that work as expected?
  2. Does this only happen with the Messages app? If you sent the attachment with the Mail app, do you have the same issue?
  3. Does this only happen with this contact in the Messages app, or does this happen with all contacts?
