Hi,
I had trouble opening Photos recently (it would open but then get stuck loading pictures, not showing any pictures in the library). I tried to repair the library by pressing option+command and opening Photos.
The repair started but then has been stuck at 5% for over 36 hours. My Photos library is around 70 GB.
This is on a mid-2012 macbook pro running mojave (10.14.6).
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Do you have a backup of the library and your boot drive?
36 hours is way too long. Force quit Photos and try opening the library without the repair.
What system and Photos versions are you running?

I force quit photos, shut down + restarted, and then opened the library again without the repair, and now Photos loads up again- without pausing at the loading screen indefinitely. Pretty happy I can access everything again.
I'm running Mojave (10.14.6) and Photos 4.0
Be sure you have a backup strategy in place like Time Machine so you can recover the library or any file that gets messed up, deleted accidentally or otherwise inaccessible at some time.
