Is iPad Pro attachable in Portrait Mode to Magic Keyboard

Can I attach the new iPad Pro to a new Magic Keyboard in Portrait Mode? — Most people attach or stand iPads in "horizontal landscape" mode when using a wireless or USB attached keyboard, similar to the landscape mode of laptops. However, especially for word processing or document reading activities, it would be nice if the iPad could mount in "vertical portrait" mode to the Magic Keyboard.
