Correct iMac password doesn't work with Bluetooth keyboard

When I try to login to my iMac running 10.15.4 I can't log in using my Bluetooth keyboard, but it works when I plug an old keyboard.

Does the PW have any special chrs or foreign letters in it?

Once booted open Keyboard Viewer, when pressing the PW chrs do they highlight in KB Viewer?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the problem was due to the keyboard language.

I live in Luxembourg where the standard keyboard is a Qwertz configured to work with French Swiss norms.

However, my Mac identified the keyboard as an Azerty keyboard that is used in France.
