Unable to update few apps like Facebook, messenger, whatsapp, soundcloud etc due to error that “xxx cannot b updated because it was refunded or purchased with different Apple ID”. Neverever have any other Apple ID. Issue arise after updating software.
If you purchased/downloaded an app using a former Apple ID, then you can't update it with your current Apple ID. You'll have to delete it and repurchase/download it again with your current Apple ID.

Check your purchases history to see if the app is listed there. If it is, try signing out of the App Store/iTunes, restart your device, and sign back in to see if that helps.
