setting up new phone

i recently bought a new phone and need to migrate my data from the old phone which last had a back up in february because of space. is signing in with my apple id on the new device enough to transfer information or it means i just see it

Transfer of Apple ID to new iPhone I have transferred my Apple ID to my new iPhone and transferred all my data from my old phone to the new one. I am now trying to delete all data from my old phone which asks for my Apple ID which is the same for both my new and old phone. Will using my Apple ID on my old phone to delete my data have any effect on my new phone
