I Pod Nano (July 2015) is not recognized by I Tunes

Having a lot of trouble trying to get the Nano to be recognized by I Tunes. Using Windows 10, I Tunes is up to date, and Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed. I Tunes still gives a message saying it does not recognize the I Pod. I've kept everything updated and inputted, except for the I Pod, so therefore the device needs to be inputted and needs to be synced with my I Tunes account!

Taken all the measures mentioned in the following Apple Support document.

If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support.

Still, iTunes will not identify the Nano 6th gen.

After

countless tests, downloads and many hours, I finally managed to get in touch

with the Ipod Nano 6th gen, Ipod Touch and Ipad.

The

experience is: Do not download iTunes from the Microsoft Store, however, from

this address:

https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/win64

(See also comments below; Community Specialist “turingtest2”.)

Then the

program was correctly placed on the \Program Files\iTunes folder.

(When

downloading from the Microsoft Store, the program became difficult to access in

the \Program Files\WindowsApps folder).

But first:

Clear away the iTunes program that is already on your PC.  See recipes in these links closest below:

Completely

Uninstall iTunes:

“Welcome to

Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you may be having an issue with your

PC recognizing your iPhone, and you’re not able to find and restart the Apple

Mobile Device using the guidance outlined in this article:  If your computer doesn't recognize your

iPhone, iPad, or iPod (see link above)

Do I have

this right? If so, I suggest trying to remove and reinstall iTunes and all the

Apple-related components from your PC. Once everything has been removed, you

can reinstall iTunes to get it back. This ensures fresh an updated versions of

all the software you need to sync your iPhone with your PC.

Remove and

reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows 7 and later.

* Note that

it’s very important that you uninstall the components listed in the article in

the order that they are listed without restarting your PC in between steps.

If I am off

base, reply here with details about what you are trying to do and the exact

results. These will help your fellow Apple Communities users guide you to a

resolution.

If you've

installed iTunes from the Microsoft Store in Windows 10 then you won't see

Apple Mobile Device Support in the programs and features control panel. You may

wish to remove the store version of iTunes and install using the older style

iTunes64Setup.exe installer from https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/win64  “
