Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
All of a sudden my iPhone 7 won’t recognize my Touch ID, verify my identity through Apple Pay, or play sound when using apps like Instagram or YouTube. I can make phone calls and hear sounds when I get a text or update, but no sound with videos or apps. What gives?

For the touch ID issue:
If Touch ID isn't working on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
For the other issue I would try a clean install.
First make sure you have a backup

Then facory reset your device:
Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support
And set it up without a backup. See if the issue persists.
If it still does not work it is a hardware issue and will need service:
Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support
If that solved it there was a software issue. Try restoring the backup and see if it still works.
if that made the problem come back the backup is the problem
