Likewise via both Thunderbolt and HDMI, when QuickTime Player in full screen mode after a few seconds fades its video playback controls, the whole display goes black until the mouse is moved. In SafeMode boot this error does not happen. Resetting PRAM via Option-Command-P-R, resetting SMC or installing LG Screen Manager 2.32 (LG UltraFine 4K has the latest 3.00, 5249,4.13,0.3 software) did not fix the error.

Preferences Error: There was an error in display preferences Hi all, Having trouble with the new MBP 16 M1 Max and Dell up2720q monitor. When plugged in via Thunderbolt 3 port and changing display preferences getting the following error: Preferences Error There was an error in display preferences It seems that there is a wider problem affecting the quality of a scaled output overall, specifically, quite poor quality of fonts and washed colors. The same monitor plugged into the old intel-based MBP 2019 works perfectly well on all scaled resolutions. Has anyone experienced the same problem?

Hi Tom , I find important monitor setting , Resolution -> «auto» and then all start work
