Minecraft coins purchase

Hi I am trying to buy coins on my son’s iPad but keep getting an error message saying I am not connected to the internet...

i am connected, and I can load new (free) worlds no problem.

app and iPad are both up to date...

i would be really grateful if anyone had any idea of what might be the problem... thank you

Frustrating since we used iTunes money to buy worlds, etc. but I understand how that works. Now when I go on to purchases coins, I keep getting the same error along the lines of "Something went wrong. Check your internet connection."
