Unable to install Apple Watch app

I downloaded an Apple Watch app (called Orange Zones) from the app store on my iPhone. When I try to install the app on my watch using the Watch app on my iPhone, the installation quits or stalls at the "stop download" button. I have tried restarting both my iPhone and my watch, but that did not resolve the issue. I also confirmed that the watch is successfully paired and connected to my iPhone.
