Apple CarPlay

I use apple car play in my car all the time, however I don’t like apple maps. I use google maps, but is there any way to make google maps the default map and have it appear in the small screen on the layout?

iPhone 6, iOS 10

You cannot change the default map for CarPlay. While you can use it for navigation, it cannot be used for the small map view.
