cannot update or restore. seems frozen

have tried repeatedly but cannot update or restore iPad 2 mini running iOS 12.4.5.

steps: plug into iMac iTunes, click restore, iPad screen goes white, error notice appears.

ipad won't update My ipad has stopped working, it will not turn on other then showing me the connect to itunes and support website page. I have connected it to my Macbook but when I try to update and restore, it always comes up with error messages. My Mac is fully updated. The only thing i can understand is that maybe my ipad is through itunes and Macbook is Finder so this might be causing the issue? Can anyone help please

iPad wont restore I have an iPad 5th generation that wont restart or restore. When I plug into iTunes I attempt to use 'restore and update' to the factory settings. The software downloads and then when it tries to install on the iPad, i get the error 'an unknown error occurred (10)'. I have tried this process on both an MacBook and also a windows laptop. Does anyone have any ideas on what else might work? This laptop was working prior to this happening. Thanks
