The Apple TV (2nd generation) is capable of receiving AirPlay video.

There are a few exceptions. Apple TV+ content cannot be AirPlayed to an Apple TV (2nd generation). Some services/​applications do not allow AirPlay, regardless of the model Apple TV it is intended to be streamed to.
