Boot Camp chosen partition size ignored by Boot Camp Assistant

Hi all,

I'm installing Windows 10 at the moment on Mojave and I've chosen a partition size of 124GB. By the time I restart and get to the Windows 10 Installer it tells me that the Boot Camp partition size is 246GB.

I've restarted back in MacOs and Disk Utility also says the Boot Camp Partition capacity is 246GB. Can anyone help me understand why Boot Camp Assistant is ignoring my chosen partition size?

Thanks in advance.

Wow, good news! Windows 10 is finally installed! :D

What a trip.

So following on from my previous post:

  1. Installed fresh version of Yosemite
  2. Rebuilt the Fusion Drive from Recovery mode (Mojave Disk Utility hadn't detected the Fusion failure which was weird, seeing as the Yosemite version of DU did!).
  3. Created the Boot Camp partition – specified size was correct and partition succeeded.
  4. Installed Windows 10.
  5. Tried to restore my MacOS from Time Machine, which failed and left the Mac Partition empty.
  6. Reinstalled Yosemite.
  7. Updated to Mojave and Ran a time Machine restore from Recovery Mode – Success!

Thanks for your help and patience LT, it's much appreciated (again!)
