my iphone xr won't ring most of the time. it's not on do not disturb, the half moon is not on. i miss sooo many important calls because my phone won't ring. can someone help?

Are these calls that you are missing from people that are not in your Contacts? If so, go to Settings>Phone>Silence Unknown Callers and turn that off.
not 100% sure but want to say yes. thanks. i did this and hopefully it will work. what a dumb setting. i always miss calls from doctors and government because they are unknown or private.
It was a new setting that people have been asking for to help keep spam phone calls and the link from bothering us. Unfortunately, it came from a newer update and was turned on by default. Once you have turned it off, it should remain off. It is was on, there is no doubt that it was your problem.
