My macbook won't print on my canon G2010

Hi,

I've a 2013 macbook air and I bought a canon G2010. When I try to print, the light just stays orange instead of green and the print job just keeps pending.

I uninstalled, reinstalled, reset the printing system many times. I've unplugged and replugged everything.Appreciate any help.

Hello,

Unfortunately, the G2010 does not appear to support macOS.

You may want to have a look at the following list for Mac-compatible printer models.

Would this mean that you had installed/tested Mac driver software intended for another printer model?

Generally speaking, drivers for another (similar) printer may or may not work (if at all, possibly with limited functionality).

In this specific case (the G2010), one would guess that there must be a reason why only Windows drivers are offered by the manufacturer. It is not known to me in what way the G2010 design differs from that of, for example, the PIXMA G2000. The latter has drivers for up to macOS 10.15 available for download.
