Just updated to 10.5 from 10.4.8. After the install, I could no longer open older projects. They load, but de interface does not appear. I can generate a new project though, so I tried logging out and in but after logging in, I got a spinning beachball and the mac froze.
A hard reset of the iMac was necessary to get things going again.
Put version 10.4.8 back, at least that one works...

Issue has been solved by the Logic Pro X 10.5.1 update, thanks Apple!
Oh lord, do I feel stupid now, that was it, Cmd-1, thanks a lot Laamusic! ;)
But why does it not start with the main window as it used to do? Is there a way to force it to do so?

No, unfortunately, if I save the project, close it and reopen, I still have to use cmd-1 to open the main window. Otherwise, I just get my desktop...
By the way, I have the same problem with the Mail app. since MacOS Catalina, so maybe it has something to do with that.
It sometimes opens and other times I have to open the main Mail window using cmd-0.
Was the interface not there at all - what was there? I assume you tried command - 1 to get main window??
