Sidecar colors

When I enable sidecar between macbook pro and ipad pro, I have a sort of color offset (especially in reds, greens and yellows) on ipad display.

For example … if I take an image and see it directly on the iPad it’s cool … but when I see the same image dropping it over from my MacBookPro using sidecar feature it look totally over saturated …

It there a solution for that?

Hi taspallek,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! I see you've noticed a difference in your iPad's display when using Sidecar, and I'd like to do what I can to help.

Have you restarted your iPad and Mac since noticing this issue? If not, go ahead and do that, as a restart can resolve unusual issues. Restart your iPad

If you're still seeing the same issue, and since the iPad display when not connected using Sidecar works as expected, let's take a look at the connection. Are you using USB to connect with Sidecar, or wirelessly?

If you change to the different type of connection, does that make a difference?

Use your iPad as a second display for your Mac with Sidecar

Thanks!

Hey taspallek,

Thanks for the reply and additional information, we appreciate it!

Looking at your screenshots, I see the AirPlay display shown, which would be the iPad. It may be that since the iPad is using Sidecar, which is new to be able to use an iPad as a display, it's not compatible with ColorSync.

Are you able to deactivate ColorSync and test without it?

Here's the ColorSync User Guide, in case you'd like it.

Thanks!
