iPhone video converts to 720p??

Hi all,

I'm getting footage from a friend (we're cobbling something together). He is shooting on an iPhone 6 - Camera is set to 1080p 30fps. He airdrops to a MacBook, then sends it via weTransfer.

At my end, it is 720p! I can't for the life of me figure out what is going wrong.

Do you ave any ideas, O Wise Ones?

If your friend is using the front facing (selfie camera) it will record in 720.

FaceTime HD Camera

1.2-megapixel photos
ƒ/2.2 aperture
720p HD video recording
Backside illumination sensor
Auto HDR for photos and videos
Face detection
Burst mode
Exposure control
Timer mode

I hadn't even looked at the footage; I was just checking the file info and couldn't figure it out - of course when I looked at it, he's holding it filming himself - he'll need to set it on sticks.
