Unable to access cellular data

Unable to access - cellular data needs update. Can’t call or receive phone calls. On top shows no service for my i phone 5s

Why does my phone say unable to access. Cellular data needs updated.further more when I try to update my phone it says it’s nit connected to the internet when it clearly is receiving wifi

If you see an Update Failed or Apple Pay Not Available alert after iOS update or restart - Apple Support

What did your carrier say when you asked them some questions about a service only they can send to your iPhone?

Never asked the carrier any questions thought the phone might be to old.
