Hi shyamprathik,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. I understand you're having an issue where you cannot receive calls on your Mac after an update to macOS 10.15.4. I'd be happy to assist you.

Sometimes after an update your Mac and iPhone can lose their handshake. Here is a great resource for ensuring everything is set up properly as things may have changed slightly during your update - Make and receive calls on your Mac, iPad, or iPod touch

Specifically, take a look at these steps:

"

  • Each device is signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID.
  • Each device is signed in to FaceTime with the same Apple ID.
  • Each device has Wi-Fi turned on.
  • Each device is connected to the same network using Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
  • On your iPhone, go to Settings > Phone > Calls on Other Devices, then turn on Allow Calls on Other Devices.
  • On your iPad or iPod touch, go to Settings > FaceTime, then turn on Calls from iPhone.
  • On your Mac, open the FaceTime app, then choose FaceTime > Preferences. Click Settings, then select Calls From iPhone.

"

Hi shyamprathik,

Thank you for trying those troubleshooting steps. Out of curiosity does your iMac recognize your iPhone for Handoff? Handoff allows you to transition from your iPhone to iMac seamlessly with select apps such as Safari, Mail, and Messages.

If you could take a look at this resource and let the community know if Handoff is currently working. This will allow us to determine if your issue is solely related to making calls or if it is related to your iMac and iPhone not communicating.

Set up Handoff: Use Handoff to continue a task on your other devices

Best regards.
