I installed dropbox then decided to remove it by dragging and dropping it to the trashcan. I then ran a search for dropbox and found a good few related items and deleted them all, except this dropbox.kext. I cant seem to remove this, tried a few things from the terminal application from the web but still cant do it.
I guess its not critical that it gets removed but its annoying to have it there.

Did you install Dropbox Business or Basic? I only have the Basic version installed. That might be why you have the .kext.

I have Dropbox installed and have no dropbox.kext. Where is the file located?

Thanks. Could it be from an older version of Dropbox, something you installed pre-Catalina? I have version 97.4.467 installed and no dropbox.text in that location or anywhere else.
only installed it (dropbox) of the web yesterday, not an app I ever used before.
