Disc burner or software not found...

Hello, I was attempting to burn a music CD as I always do by selecting songs from an iTunes playlist and clicking Burn Playlist to Disc. I have a blank CD-R disc inserted in the drive. I get the Burn Settings window, which is set for Maximum Possible Preferred Speed with Audio CD and no Gap Between Songs. Once I click Burn, however, I get a message at the top of the toolbar: Disc burner or software not found... What to do? Thanks!

Hello,

What is your Macintosh’s exact model number and what version of the system software is it running?
