List sharing with 2 factor authentication IMPOSSIBLE!!

My Wife and I and trying to share lists with each other via the Apple Reminders iOS app. It seems to be impossible if either party have two factor authentication turned on.

If I click the invite link in the email on my phone I get a message saying to do it via a desktop (see first screen shot attached). When I go to accept the list via my desktop I get notification that the list is no longer available or I don’t have permission to open the reminder (see second screen shot).

Both our phones are iPhone 11 Pro with the latest iOS (13.4.1 at the time of this post). This was never an issue before With our older phones (iPhone X) and older iOS (pre-13).

Ive seen others post about the same issue but Apple seems to dismiss it with suggestions to “update iOS”.

Ive tried too many times and have come to the conclusion that it’s not possible whilst two factor authentication is enabled.

Apple? Any help?

Thanks in advance

Okay, so if your iPhone devices are on iOS 13 and your MacBook Pro 16” is running macOS 10.15 Catalina, then did you perform the Reminders upgrade sequence?

Hey Eric,

I should have clarified this in my original post. Yes - it just loops and the same thing happens. Share, can’t access, asks to re-share.

others that I found with a search have experienced the same. I did it maybe 4-5 times with the same result each time.

tried different methods of inviting (phone number, email, different email addresses - one being my Apple ID and others not).
