System storage apple scam?

My "System" is taking up 46.27 GB of 64 GB in my storage. This has been increasingly growing without me even updating the software. Is Apple acting extremely unethically and making this happen in order to force people to buy a new phone? Please Apple tell me otherwise or I will NOT be buying another apple product again.

Please don’t buy another Apple product, I’m sure that Samsung’s are perfect and won’t have any problems, ever. Except catching fire, of course. If you can get past your truly absurd conspiracy theory you can fix the problem simply by backing up your phone, then restoring the backup. This will remove the storage corruption that is causing this condition.
