I have a Mac mini 2020, running Catalina 10.15.2 . It is very slow to resume from sleep, taking as long as 50 seconds.
To put the Mac to sleep, I normally use the "go to sleep" verbal command, on Siri.
I think the Mac is being put in to some kind of hibernation, as it is far too slow to be a sleep mode.
Has anyone else encountered this, or found a work around?

First I would update your software—
Combo update macOS 10.15.4 https://support.apple.com/kb/DL2037?locale=en_US
I tried updating to 10.15.4, but the issue remains.
