Additional content in templates every time

Since updating to 10.5, I’ve found that when I open one of my templates, I get an alert that says “Some additional content is needed for this project. Do you want to download it now?” It does this every time, even if I click “Download.” I’ve done a complete download of the sound library, so I have no idea what might be missing.

I’ve tried re-saving the template, and that didn’t work. Is there any way out of this without recreating the template from scratch?

There is a drummer track. I tried deleting the drummer track and saving it as a new template. I quit Logic, opened it again and loaded the new drummer-free template. No alert. I tried adding a drummer, and the alert came up. I tried creating a new empty project and added a drummer and, sure enough, the alert came up again.

I know they say installed, but is that the case when you select Drum Kit disclosure triangle?

if nothing is able to installed, then I’d suggest logging in as a new user of the Mac, and try opening a blank template, select the same drummer, save as a test template, try it again as the new user. This will hopefully test if your problem is user specific or machine wide.

The library is in its default location.

It’s an R&B drummer using a default kit.

I tried some further experiments: Starting from an empty project, if I add a drummer, and have it load an electronic drummer/kit, there’s no alert, but if I then add a drummer using one of the default kits (Rock or R&B) I get the alert.

I tried clicking “Cancel” on the alert, so it doesn’t download anything. The track seemed to play fine.

My theory at this point is that Logic is not missing any content, but somehow in the update a database got damaged so that it thinks it is. I don’t really know how it works internally, or how I should fix it.
