2012 Mac Pro does not recognize wifi

My 2013 Mac Pro and my iPhone recognize my wifi network, but my 2012 does not recognize its wifi card. This happened just recently. I had to erase my drive and put on OS v10.9 Maverick. What can I do to make my 2012 recognized my wifi card again. I have one of the OSXWIFI adapter cards with 802.11ac, which has never given me problems before, even with Mavericks. Also I took out the wifi adapter and made sure it was seated well and the antennae connected. I cannot update my OS because I cannot put in the six digit security code apparently because the Mac Pro is not connected to wifi. What do I need to do to make the 2012 Mac Pro recognize its wifi card again?

I understand that the card is not recognized. You may need a new Driver.

You also complained you could not update anything because you could not get on the Internet. Set Ethernet as the TopMost Interface and you will connect over Ethernet and solve your 'can't update' problems. Then check the card-maker's web site for new software for that card.

For me, I prefer an Ethernet connection -- it seems faster and more consistent. But you should have what you want.

I think I’ve got this figured out with a lot of help. I’ve got an 802.11ac WiFi card running on Maverick. I’ve finally found a way to bypass the security codes on the App Store and got an install of High Sierra and Mojave. Security codes won’t work on Maverick either. Hopefully, my WiFi card will reappear on High Sierra. Thanks for the response
