missing message app on Mac book Pro
I am missing the message app on my Mac Book Pro. How do I reinstall it and where do I find it....it is not one of the apps in the app store

You did look in your Applications folder for the "Messages" app?
Since that is installed as part of the OS, I have no answer as to why it is not there. You would need to reinstall your OS since it is not available separately.
