Download windows support software freezing

Having read the answers to this question: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8038257

I'm still unable to download windows support software.

  1. I've run first aid
  2. I tried the direct method for installation again. Didn't work.
  3. I've now tried the action menu method. That’s freezing midway too:

What should I do? Please help.

EDIT: Download from Action menu successful. What now? If I start bootcamp it begins to download the software again... and FREEZES

EDIT2: It finally started downloading after 20 Minutes of a frozen window.
