How do I physically remove the SDXC Card from Macbook Pro?
My card has failed and i need to remove it to reinsert to format it again but i'm unsure how to eject from the side of my macbook. Looks like a need a tool but it's been in there for years so can't remember.
Anyone help me please.

The 2015 MacBook Pros did not have an SD tray, only a slot.
Seems like you inserted a third party tray to hold something. As regular sized SD cards would not requrie a tray.
Likely a card adapter to make a micro SD card into a regular sized SD card. Or one of the shorter profile SD cards made for Macs, so they sit flush with the chassis.
In which case, you would need to remember what it was you inserted to get instructios on how to remove it.
Outside of that , the normal way to get sim cards out of the slots, is to pull them out gently from the slot. I would venture that whatever is inserted, should just come out by pulling on it, as suggested previously with a string through the holes or needle nose pliers to hold on to it.
There does not appear to be an eject button anywhere. Mine just has an open slot, no buttons.
Find the icon of that drive in the Finder sidebar, and click on Eject to remove from the Desktop without Directory corruption.
From the looks of what you have inserted, I think you put a piece of strong thread through the holes and give it a gentle tug.
Push it in to release the tray(?)

Just to summarize, you just needed a paper clip as a bit of wire, and inserted it into one of those holes so that you could get a grip on the card, right? All you needed to do was apply a little pulling pressure and out it came, right?

No spring in the Mac SD slot for release. So pushing in, will do nothing.
As mentioned in the youtube video, which confirms my theory of the short prolife card, you pull it out with the included wire.
So yes, just pulling it out, is all that should need to be done.

I cannot find a reference to any MacBook Pro model that has a silver cover like that. Is the silver object that is stuck in the slot?
