Screen recording blurry...

When I screen record a short video from Instagram and text it to a friend the screen recorded video is crystal clear on my end and quite blurry once they receive it. This is being sent from an iPhone 6s to a iPhone 8 via iMessage. We both have iMessage turned on. My iOS is always up to date. I have a group chat with a small group of friends who all have iPhones and all use iMessage and they all say mine are blurry but if one of them sends a screen recording it seems to be fine... I have tried several things in settings to no avail and done quite a bit of research online and found no solutions. None of my settings (video, texts, etc.) are set to low quality but I am open to any suggestions here as this is quite frustrating. I have been thinking of going to an iPhone 11 Pro recently but with some of the issues I have been having with my phone and Apple as of late (I am aware the 6s is quite outdated) I am starting to change my mind about Apple products all together. Thanks for any help!

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities. I understand you are experiencing an issue with the quality of screen recordings. When you send them to others using iPhones they state they are blurry. If you are using iCloud Photos and have space on your device, I suggest downloading the original file to your phone and then try sending it again. Download iCloud photos and videos. Specifically reference the second section titled How to download photos and videos from iCloud.com



You can also try resetting your network settings on the device. You can do so by tapping Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. This will remove any saved network passwords so make sure you have those handy before resetting it.


The next step you could try would be to reset all settings on your iPhone. Make sure you have a backup of your device before performing this just in case. How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Do so by tapping Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings.
