Why not purchase from Costco? Why not MacBook Air 13

Is Costco an authorized seller of Mac computers? Any reason to not buy from Costco? And, looking at the MacBook Air 13". Should I look at the Pro or another model instead? Planning to use it for normal tasks for the most part. In shopping I seem to be moving upward away from an iPad that likely needs replacing because of age (stuck at 10.3.3).

Here is how you can look up the local authorized resellers: https://locate.apple.com/

Be aware of which extended warranty you might purchase, and what’s covered by that. AppleCare gets you Apple coverage, other warranties will get you whatever other entity is backing that.

Which Mac to purchase varies by your oft-unique requirements and expectations. Here’s a recent similar discussion: What macbook should I get for school and … - Apple Community that might provide some details to ponder.

As an alternative, iPad Pro with the Magic Keyboard (effectively a stand and keyboard dock) might be interesting here, though that can be heavier than an iPad Air.
