Audio and Bluetooth devices lagging and malfunctions

Twice a day the audio on a macbook pro (15 inch 2017) of mine starts malfunctioning and the bluetooth device start lagging.

Only solution is to perform a full reset, and this is only a temporary solution of course....

Mac is up to date

Tried PRAM reset.

Any suggestions?

Hey Ohad_Cloudinary,

Thanks for going through those steps and providing that info. If you’re still having issues, boot your Mac into recovery and run First Aid on Macintosh HD using the steps here:

Repair a storage device in Disk Utility on Mac

Also, you mentioned doing an NVRAM reset, make sure you do an SMC reset as well:

How to reset the SMC of your Mac

If you still have issues, use Activity Monitor to see if there are any apps or processes that seem to be contributing to the issues:

How to use Activity Monitor on your Mac

As for the Bluetooth, remove the device, restart your Mac, and pair them back together using the steps here:

Using a Bluetooth mouse, keyboard, or trackpad with your Mac

Take care.

Hey there Ohad_Cloudinary,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. I understand you’re experiencing some issues with the audio and Bluetooth on your Mac. I’ll be happy to help with this.

You’ve done some good steps so far. To further isolate this, run an Apple Diagnostics and see if it reports any known issues:

How to use Apple Diagnostics on your Mac

If no issues are reported, check for any interference that could affect the Bluetooth:

Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference

Then disconnect any external audio devices from your computer. Also disconnect any cables from the USB, Thunderbolt, FireWire, or 3.5mm audio ports. If that doesn’t help, see if these occur in safe boot and a new user account as well:

Regards.

Well I ran the Apple Diagnostics, everything seems fine. Not just a bluetooth problem, I am getting an error of zoom found an audio issue, and audio stops at that point, also, webcam sometimes work fine and sometimes i see a refresh effect on the picture. another strage phenomenon, is when i am typing there is a massive lag until the actual character shows on the screen.

laptop is running very hot fan is working on high rpm.
