My daughter is under 13 and I have an iCloud account for her under Family Sharing. We've used it to sign into her computer Apple ID. For some reason, when I open Find My, I can see that her computer is online, but it says "not sharing location." On her computer, when I look at her location in Find My, it just says "Locating..." but somehow doesn't ever stop locating...
Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this?

I actually have her computer in my possession and I’m trying to set it up so that I can find it. We have Family Sharing, but for some reason, I can’t see the location of her computer when I try to find it.

I'm trying to set up my daughter's Macbook Air with location services so that I can find her computer if we ever need to. Strangely, I tried multiple Apple IDs with her computer, all of which are part of our Family Sharing. Whenever it was the Apple ID of an adult, I could find the location. Whenever it was the Apple ID of my daughter or son, both of whom are under 13, I could not find the location. Is there something about Find My that doesn't work when the child is under 13? Is there anything I can do to fix that?
You are welcome. There isn't anything I am aware of that should prevent children under 13 from showing. Have you checked Settings/Screen Time for any restrictions? Is there something in there that could affect the setup?
