I can hear a part of a vocal track that I supposedly deleted. Help!

I split and deleted a part of a vocal track, so I cannot see it anymore. But I can still hear it. How can I delete that part entirely?

If you’ve deleted it, so it’s not in the main window and there is nothing under the playhead, then you should hear nothing. Are you sure you deleted it?

is it as loud as the region you deleted?

it’s not hidden anywhere?

there’s not a doubled region somewhere else in the arrangement ??

theres no looping of the other region?

there’s no stem with it in?

if no to all of those, exit your project after saving it, quit logic, try again.

Thank you for your suggestions; I made sure that those were followed, and actually did quit logic a few times, to no avail. The only way I tried making it work was copying the clips then deleting the track and starting a new one, then putting in the plugins that I used. Could the problem (hearing parts that was supposedly deleted) be caused by plugins, such as melodyne?
