Email error: "Message has not been downloaded from server"
I see that this question has been asked before, but not since 2016, so let me see if there is anything new.
I have three Apple devices: Mac, iPad and iPhone. I am signed into each device using the same Apple ID. Mail works fine on Mac, and generally works fine on iPad. But on iPhone, I often get the above error and cannot read my mail items. Anyone know how to fix this?
FYI, I can confirm that none of the following fixes the problem:
- Closing the Mail app an re-opening it.
- Removing my Mail account and re-adding it.
- Turning off wifi then turning it back on.
- Turning off my wifi router then turning it back on.
- Connecting to a different wifi network (say, at a cafe).
- Turning off cellular then turning it back on,
- Turning off iPhone then turning it back on.
So, again, does anyone know how to force an iPhone to download email messages?
