Black screen on your Thunderbolt display is solved.

I purchased a brand new Apple Thunderbolt display 8.5 years ago and after a week of using it I had a black screen appear on my display. I took it to the Apple Genius Bar and the Genius Bar could not find any problems on the black screen on my display, but I still had a black screen. After using my Apple Thunderbolt screen and still had the black screen so I trashed it and purchase another Apple new Thunderbolt screen again so no black screens yet.

On the internet I did a search a year ago and found a solution on the black screen on my Apple Thunderbolt display. The anwer is if you have a black screen on your Apple Thunderbolt display then it's your backlight which is broken and need to be replaced with a new backlight.

Let me explain it much more clearly. Black screen on your Thunderbolt and it's your blacklight which is broken and need to be replaced with a new backlight.

Turn on your computer and your display or monitor and wait for it to boot up fully. Then get the brightest flashlight you own and point it at the monitor on a steep angle (so the glare doesn't hit you directly). If you see an image (such as your desktop), then the LCD display still works; it's the backlight which is broken and needs to be replaced. This will explain it more fully, This is a much better answer to help solved your question. My first replied was not answer correctly and this is my second reply which has answer it more correctly.
