Email Push

I recently did a soft reset of my iPhone XS. I am running IOS 13.4.1. Since then the only way to get new emails is to open the Mail app. I no longer get notified about new emails on the lock screen. I remember older IOS’s used to have a Push option where you could choose how often your phone would look for new emails but that doesn’t exist anymore. How can I get the phone to notify me of new emails without me having to open the Mail app?

That is not a Push option. Only Exchange accounts can Push, all other accounts Fetch. In Settings, go to Passwords & Accounts. From there, tap on Fetch New Data. Select your individual Mail accounts and make sure they are set to Fetch. Then scroll down on the page under Fetch, and set the time limit for your Fetch. I just will say, do not use Automatically. Read what it says about battery life. I have mine set to Fetch every 30 minutes. I'm not aware of any of my personal mail that needs to be checked more often than that. My work account is an Exchange account, which is Pushed, and that is the only mail I'm worried about.
