I have an ipad 7th gen, i bought back in December.. I lost the original charger for it and I've been using a regular iphone charger but i noticed that it doesn't charge as it should...could it just be that i need to replace it with the original ipad charger or maybe something else?
iPad's charger simply has higher power output. If the charging time is what matters, it's better to buy the replacement.
Your iPad will most likely have a 12W charger - whereas iPhone chargers are usually 5W (less the half the power output).
For most iPad’s, an iPhone charger is totally inadequate; if it charges your iPad at all, it’ll be painfully slow.

I think that iPad chargers have a higher wattage than iPhone ones, so if you can, buy a new iPad charger but the iPhone charger will still work, just not as well. If I am wrong, can someone please tell me.
