iPhone 11 Pro no sound with dock connector

So is had an iPhone XS that I used to connect to an external receiver for workout. This was working fine till few weeks back. My son’s iPhone same as mine connects fine. I try to find out if some configuration is not allowing the sound to go through the lighting USB cable but I could not find anything. I even reset the iPhone and nothing. Well I just update my cell to an iPhone 11 Pro brand new and it does not work either. So I am guessing it inherit some sort of configuration problem. Any thoughts ?

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that there's no sound when connecting your new iPhone 11 Pro to a dock. I can see how this could be concerning since other devices connect without issue. I'm happy to help.


Since the issue persists on a new iPhone, it's possible that content from the backup of your old iPhone is causing an issue. I recommend backing up, erasing your iPhone, and setting up as new to test the issue without your content.

If the issue persists, the backup content isn't the cause and you can restore from the backup that was created.
