can volume on iPad be controlled any other way than the volume buttons on thr side of thr iPad?

I am listening to a webinar on my iPad Pro and the volume is too loud. I can turn it down, but only so far. If I try to lower it too much, it just “mutes” the iPad so I can’t hear anything. Is there a “slider switch” volume control which allows me to have greater control over my audio programs and which allows me to reduce the volume without totally muting the audio?

Depending on your OS, sliding down where the battery indicator is should open up control center. There will be a slider for brightness and volume.
