Different language of app store than location.

I wonder how I could change the language of app store on my devices without changing the location?

I am an expat in The Netherlands and have my apple ID tied to Dutch address and payment method. However, I would like to see app store in English (I do understand that I will see only Dutch content of the store, though).

I have gone through several posts, articles, etc., but I could not find any solution to solve my issue. Support guys do not seem even understand my question and are trying to show me how to change language of devices. That’s not the issue as both my devices use language I need.

Is it really impossible to set it up in so multi language world in 2020?

Although, I would expect it works like you have just described, it does not.

My devices are already in English, as that is easy to set. However, app store is in Dutch and there is no way, I can see, to change it to English. Unless, I change location.

That what makes it annoying and shows that Apple ignores the fact that a lot of people these days do not live/work in their original countries.

Hello plis73,

It sounds like you're trying to change the language of your App Store.

The only way to do this is to change the language of your device so you can view the App Store in English.

To do this you can follow the steps in this article:

Change the language on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

I understand, that you would like to keep your device open the languages you have set. I would also like to add a resource that goes over adding different languages to your keyboard. This would allow you to switch between different languages when typing.

Here are the links:

Add or change keyboards on iPhone

Add or change keyboards on iPad

On a Mac you have the option of choosing languages for specific apps. Heres how:

"Choose the language you use for individual apps:

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Language & Region.
  2. Click Apps.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Choose a language for an app: Click the Add button , choose an app and a language from the pop-up menus, then click Add.
    • Change the language for an app in the list: Select the app, then choose a new language from the pop-up menu.
    • Remove an app from the list: Select the app, then click the Remove button . The app uses the default language again.

If the app is open, you may need to close and then reopen it to see the change."

Hope this helps!
