Touch Bar

Is the Touch Bar a specific use only option? when I log on to most websites, the TB doesn't work where it automatically Fills in the User ID and PW. I am directed to log on with my MacBook log in password.

Can I be missing something in the setup for the Touch Bar?

I customised my Touch Bar for Finder and can't change it back! When I set up my new Macbook Pro 15" nearly a year ago I customised the touch bar and for Finder only, it shows the F1 etc. keys. But I frequently want access to the default touch bar icons and can't change it back. When I click on View (in Finder) the Customise Touch Bar isn't clickable. Help! It's driving me nuts! Thanks!

Macbook Pro / Touchbar - why does cursor jump out of entry field when entering number? Macbook Pro - why does cursor jump out of entry field when entering number? I recently got a 2019 MB Pro, 16", Ventura 13.2.1. I am completely unfamiliar with the Touch Bar. Recently when trying to change a setting on this machine (time zone), I was unable to enter my admin password to unlock Settings. Every time I came to a particular number in my password, the cursor jumped out of the password field and into the web browser. (Firefox 118.0.1) I was NOT able to change the setting until I went into user accounts and created a NEW password without ANY number. AFAIC tell, it has something to do with the Touchbar. If the touch bar shows WEB options, entering a number from the top row of hard keys triggers a funtion on the Touchbar, “History”, I think, and it jumps to the browser. I tried this many times, being XTRA careful not to touch anything but the keys themselves, but I was not able to change my timezone until I went into Users & Groups and changed my pswrd to one that has no numbers. Later I found that if I HIDE the web options, and change the Touchbar appearance to look like the dedicated function keys on my older MB Pro, this stops it from happening. But the Touchbar seems to have a 'mind of it's own', and changes icons seemingly in response to other actions I'm doing on the laptop. I must say, @ this point I absolutely detest the touch bar. I would like to disable as many “SMART” features on it as possible. Any help is appreciated. TIA!!!!

Touchbar works under other logins For about a month, my Touch Bar has been mostly non-functional. Over the weekend I wanted to see what would happen if I switched user accounts. I logged into my test user account and the Touch Bar (2016 MacBook Pro 15") works just fine. What in the world…?
