2020 MacBook Pro - Hard Case?

I just bought the same model and I am having the same problem! But I recently just found one on amazon that came up for pre-order and is not available until August or September of 2020. My only concern is that it comes with a keyboard cover, which you are not supposed to use if your computer has a retina display, which the Macbook A2289 does. I may end up ordering it anyway and not using the keyboard cover because I haven't found any other cases anywhere!

hi! I am having the same issue. I just purchased my new Mac book pro model A2289 a few weeks ago and I'm searching for a hard case as well. I own a sleeve already, so just looking for the hard case. It seems companies need time to catch up and create them, but I did find this one! I have found more success with typing the model number in on amazon to be more specific. My only question is; why shouldn't one have a keyboard cover if they have a Retina display? I haven't heard this before, but I'm wondering if that has something to do with a minor issue I'm experiencing?

I'm having the same problem. I bought my MacBook Pro last week and I don't want to go to school without some sort of protection. I want to buy an Incase hardshell case but I heard that they're not compatible with the 2020 MBP. Just waiting for them to come out with a new version but it's taking forever !!

Because of the limited clearance between the keyboard and display when closed.

Hi. I am having the same issue, but your link has an issue. The thing is that the link says it is compatible for models of 2016 all the way to 2020. As you may know, these models have definitely changed over the past few years.This is a common scam in which they persuade customers to waste money.

You should be fine. I ordered a keyboarder cover. Most of them are rubber and shouldn't cause damage. Keycaps are a completely different thing than the covers. The covers also are not thick so that's another reason you should be fine. Keycap covers are usually hard plastic to make some keys look cooler with some designs some sort.

I know I'm a little late to the party but I am got my new computer a bit later-- I also had a. 2011 and got my computer at the end of July and ordered a case from amazon that said it fit the 2020 model and then went and bought one at Best Buy and still no luck.

Etsy have a great range, lots of beautiful designs so long as you don't mind paying 40+

The 2020 MBP is thicker in height due to the addition of the Magic Keyboard so no hard shell cases from the 2019 model should fit.

As far as screen protectors due to the vulnerability of the anti-reflective coating on the screen I would recommend against using any screen protectors as they will damage the coating.
