bootcamp safe ?

Does having windows installed on your MacBook via Boot Camp affect your computer in anyway?

Bootcamp for Catalina Hey there, I'm using a MacBook Pro Mid2012. For Bootcamp, it seems you need to boot off a usb drive. Is this true? I just want to confirm this before I go buy a usb drive.

All it does it take up some space on your drive but it won't do anything else to it.
