When I try to download in the appstore the notification "We could not complete your purchase appears. Cancel"

Exact same problem on my 2017 MacBook Pro macOS Mojave 10.14.6. All apps can't purchase and update. Has been gone through with Apple Support with all debugging steps, rebooting, safe mode, reset router, delete files etc. At the end, transfer the call to App Store supervisor and she would need few days to feedback to back-end team and get back to me... What?!!
Apple, if you listen here, please solve this problem ASAP!

Same, booting into safe mode didn't help me , i reiterate this has only occurred (at least on my machine) since upgrading haha!!

Same issue. Using Mojave, on an iMac, all App Store downloads now fail with "could not complete your purchase" -- even if it's just a free download and not an actual purchase.
Same problem. But I'm on Catalina, so it's not Mojave only.
Happy to report it is now working for me, too.
It's working fine for me now.
Update: Phew! Thanks Apple for fixing the Mojave App Store issue.
I'm glad I was patient and it was fixed within a day.
