trade in kit

I just ordered a new phone - the trade in kit for my old phone is shipped separately and from reading these comments below - I am thinking this is a bit suspect why not ship the new phone and trade-in kit together? I received my phone on the 18th, I have 14 days to ship my old phone back, I have yet to receive a trade in kit and why don't they let us know when that is shipped? Is it a ploy so you miss the 14 day time-frame? I hope not. Apple has been so good about everything else! Can someone please tell me from Apple when my trade in kit will arrive at my home?
